Bhrigu Lake is one of the most prominent, scenic lakes located in the Manali region at an altitude of 4,240 metres. The lake is nestled amid the Great Himalayas and its banks are believed to be the site where Maharishi Bhrigu, one of the seven renowned sages of the Hindu religion, meditated. It is also believed that this was the site where he wrote the Bhrigu Samhita, an astrological manuscript with predictions of the future and records of the past. The trail takes you through beautiful meadows and dense forests of fir, oak and pine trees, which makes this trek a truly rewarding experience. It is suitable for all age groups and is considered an easy trek. Offering tremendous natural beauty and stunning vistas of snow-capped mountains, verdant forests and lush meadows, the Bhrigu Lake trek in Himachal Pradesh is one of the most favourite treks amongst trekkers and nature enthusiasts. One of the high-altitude lakes in India, sitting in the lap of Garhwal Himalayas in the Kullu region, Lake Bhrigu is associated with the Sage Bhrig who is believed to have meditated on the banks of this serene lake many thousands of years back. Not a very challenging trek, the Bhrigu Lake trek can be ventured on to by even the beginners provided their physical fitness and stamina is up to the mark. Mesmerizing views of the 'Deo Tibba', 'Hanuman Tibba' and 'Seven Sister' peaks in the Pir-Panjal ranges, virgin forests of cedar and silver oak, vast expanses of green pasture lands, multi-hued carpets of alpine flowers and shimmering water streams along the trails make your trekking experience even more fun and overwhelming. An occasional rendezvous with some of the wildlife species including the Snow Cocks, Pheasants and Himalayan Monal adds to the charm of this beautiful journey.

Sitting at an altitude of 14,000 ft. above sea level, the Bhrigu Lake trek starts from the picturesque village of Gulaba taking you through wild forest trails, charming old villages and vast stretches of fruit orchards, finally ending at the Vashisht Village. One of the most beautiful treks in the Manali region, Bhrigu Lake trek, undoubtedly, gives you the most satisfying trekking experiences of your lifetime. The Bhrigu Lake Trek is open all year round and it is approximately a trail of 7 – 8 days from Manali. The trail sounds like a unique pick for family holidayers also.
Today from Delhi we will board an AC Volvo coach leaving for to Manali in the evening. It will be an overnight voyage by bus.
We will reach Manali in the morning where you will meet our executives who will assist you and get transferred to a pre-booked hotel in Manali. The following day is free for leisure activities in which you can relax in your hotel or can visit the famous Hadimba Devi Temple, the Tibetan Monastery old Manali, and the mall Road. We will be staying tonight at the hotel.
Today we all will meet at the Ram Bagh Chowk positioned near the Mall road. The village of Kulang is situated which is just 20 minutes from this point it will be the place from where our trail will start off. As we move away from this charming valley, behind we get to see the pictorial views of Manali hill station and the jungle all around. After that, we will move ahead in the direction of Moji Dugh and pass through dense of pine, deodar and oak forests on the way. We will set up our first campsite in this extensive open space in this verdant and striking forest.
On this day, after having wholesome breakfast, we will begin our trek. The trail today will ascend gradually and will take you to tree line on the top. From this spot you can have the glimpse of the incredible Manali valley and several magnificent peaks like Hanuman Tibba, Shikharbeh, and Makarbeh which you can capture in your camera. Today, we will set up the camp in the midst of extensive elevated meadow of Theli. This region is covered all over with snow which is ahead of schedule at this time of the year, it is just like an extensive blanket of blooming wild alpine flowers as the spring season arrives.
On this day, the trail will ascend progressively before a very small, precipitous ascend to a lake. Then we will, hike over an expansive Bhrigu ridge, from here you will get impressive outlook of the Hanuman Peak, Kalihani Pass, Makarbeh, Shakarbeh, and the Manali pass towards the West side, on the East side you will get spectacular vistas of the Hampta, on north side the Friendship and the Rohtang ridge and to the North – West Shitidhar Massif.
It will be the last day of our trail; this trail will be a precipitous descent all the way through the chestnut, deodar, and the pine forests towards the village of Vashisht. This place is well-known for its hot water springs; to end the trek this place is the ideal destination along with a relaxing bath for long in the hot springs. Later, in the evening, we return back towards Manali where our trek ends.
This day is free for leisure activities and relaxing. In the evening, we will take the AC Volvo Bus from Manali and head towards Delhi. It will be an overnight voyage by bus.
Arrival at Delhi by morning in between 07:00 – 08:00 hrs.
